The Becker Ensemble

The Becker will be bringing a full symphony orchestra to St Mary’s church to play on the evening of Thursday 26th August 2010 at 8 p.m.

The programme of music will include Mozart's Overture to Idomeneo, Bruch's Violin Concerto in G minor and the Symphony No 4 in Bb by Beethoven. There will also be a special performance by the Marlowe Young Musician of the Year 2009 (Ellie Eden) of Rossini's Introduction and Variations for Clarinet. The orchestra will be conducted by John Perkins and the solo violinist will be the internationally renowned Dutch violinist Mathieu Van Bellen

The Becker ensemble will be augmented by musicians of international reputation and the concert will be played in the beautiful and convenient venue of St. Mary’s Church.
