Jane started her musical career at Dartington College of Arts, where she
studied with Peter Carter. She won a British Council scholarship to study
at the Brussels Conservatoire, under Carlo Van Neste. Her first post was
with the BBC Welsh Syphony Orchestra. Following this, she spent several
years in Switzerland, working both with the Swiss Romande and the Lausanne
Chamber Orchestra. On returning to England, Jane taught whilst bringing
up her three children. She teaches at Sir Roger Manwood's School and enjoys
directing the school orchestra, involving projects which have taken them
abroad. She works as a free lance violinist in the South East and is a member
of the KCO, the City of Canterbury Orchestra and the Becker Ensemble. |
