| John
Cullis has held positions in three European Orchestras during his
career. The BBC Welsh Orchestra, The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande
and the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera. Working in these positions,
he has toured Japan, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. He was also a
member of the Welsh String Quartet, performing at the Bath, Cheltenham
and Llandaff festivals. His teachers include Joan Dickson, André
Navarra and Sydney Griller. He has held the position of Cello professor
at the Royal Marines School of Music since 1981. He plays on a Gand-Bernadel
cello made in Paris in 1855. As a free-lance cellist he works with
the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and The Philharmonia
Orchestra. |
